Opening the Window

I always knew 2020 was going to be a leap into the dark, but this? I don't think anyone was expecting this.


You don't need to read another 'what a weird year it's been' piece at this point; they will be filling every news outlet over the next few weeks. Things have been weird and mostly terrible, and we'll be looking glumly at the scars for years to come. This much is certain.


However - and this isn't intended as 'but, looking on the bright side...' no matter how much it may come across like that - the long months of lockdown and isolation did give me a chance to pause, and reflect, and write, and genuinely think about what I want to do, going forward into the post-pandemic world which is just around the corner (or so They tell us). And this is the result.


I've always loved stories, and books, and games, and so obviously books about stories and games are also all right by me.That's what I'm hoping to publish and promote through Near Window, starting with a book on H. P. Lovecraft, the horror genre in general, and how to bring the best of both to your TTRPG of choice. After that? Let's find out. It'd be great to have you along for the ride.
